The cultural practice of female circumcision in Kalimantan, is not only based on local traditions and culture, but also a must for the Muslim community. believed to be worship that carried out, although religious guidance regarding still matter debate. purpose study was find out how circumcision. This used descriptive qualitative design. research Kalimantan. participants are parents, traditional healers, health workers. sampling technique purposive with inclusion criteria living area at least 10 years having seen firsthand against women. collected data then analyzed using concepts proposed by Miles Huberman. Most really respect existence basis religion or because words parents who say girl circumcised. said they were aware controversy about circumcision, even heard prohibited. They believe mandatory do know if it done carelessly, will fatal. from generation able cleanse one's body all dirt najis.
